JOB PURPOSE
As a Professional in Training (PIT) in Corporate Affairs at Anglo American, you will have various responsibilities, including supporting the division’s effectiveness by executing critical tasks and projects, building relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring engagement aligns with sustainability initiatives, and implementing the Anglo American Social Way 3.0. You will also assist in community health and well-being, employee and community training, and ensuring social performance compliance.
This three-year graduate programme offers the opportunity to work at various sites, gain real project experience, and follow a structured learning development journey.

Requirements
To qualify for the Professional In Training programme, you must:
- Have completed a Bachelor’s degree (NQF7 or 8) in Social Sciences, Business Science, Corporate Communications, Linguistics, or a related degree.
- Have completed your degree or are set to graduate by December 2023.
- Have no more than two years of relevant work experience.
- Be a team player with strong leadership potential.
- Demonstrate drive, ambition, and a passion for challenging work in mining operations.
- Be available to work in remote areas of South Africa as operations are in the Northern Cape, specifically in Sishen or Kolomela mine.
- Be encouraged to obtain a driver’s license due to the high level of mobility required.

- The role is a fixed-term contract for a maximum of 36 months.
- The role of a Professional in Training is to participate in and complete the formal Graduate Programme.
- The recruitment process includes CV review, on-demand video interview, and game-based psychometric assessment.
- Successful candidates will be invited to an Assessment Centre Experience.
