Job Description – Baking Learnership Program
Overview: Are you a passionate and motivated student with a love for baking, eager to step into the working world? RCL FOODS invites dynamic and enthusiastic students to apply for the Baking Learnership Program. We are seeking 15 learners to join this program, based in Gauteng Pretoria West. This learnership program spans 12 to 18 months and includes mentorship and coaching, focusing on the baking process. It is SETA accredited, and successful candidates will receive a formal qualification endorsed by SAQA. Learners will gain hands-on experience aligned with RCL FOODS’ and SETA’s requirements throughout the qualification.
Key Objectives: Through the Supreme Siyabhaka Academy, our program aims to achieve the following:
- Skill Development: Nurture and develop the skills of individual learners, creating employable young professionals in the baking industry.
- Brand Excellence: Grow awareness of our baking brands as symbols of excellence and consistency, associated with best-in-class skills, service, and products.
- Industry Leadership: Lead the industry by raising the standard of in-store and professional bakery products, altering consumer perceptions, and strengthening customer relationships.
Minimum Requirements: To qualify for this learnership program, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: A Grade 12 qualification with hospitality studies and mathematics (Literacy) is essential.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in MS Office is advantageous.
- Personal Qualities: Candidates should demonstrate a strong drive to achieve performance, a willingness to learn and grow, and possess creative, lateral thinking skills with a problem-solving approach.
