Job Title: Trainee Provincial Inspectors (x25 posts)
Stipend: R7,000 per month during the probation period
Centres:
- 16× Wardens [per 4 Weighbridge Stations (Kimberley, Springbok, Upington, and Colesberg) Ref: S4.08/01]
- 3× Wardens at Mothibistad Traffic station: Ref: S4.08/02
- 2× Wardens at Olifants hoek Traffic Station: Ref: S4.08/03
- 2× Wardens at Jan Kempdorp Traffic Station: Ref: S4.08/04
- 1× Warden at Road and Safety Education Head Office Ref: S4.08/05
- 1× Warden at Law Enforcement Statistics Head Office Ref: S4.08/06
Requirements:
- Senior Certificate (Matric)
- Valid Code 8 Driver’s License – Manual Transmission
- No criminal record – Successful applicants will undergo a full SAPS clearance before assumption of duty
- Applicants must not be older than 35 years of age
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operating weighbridges
- Law enforcement support
- Law enforcement administration
- Other station operations as determined by respective supervisors
About the Trainee Provincial Inspector Programme: Successful applicants will be appointed as a Trainee Provincial Inspector for a fixed period of one year. During this time, they will be expected to successfully complete a Traffic Officer’s Diploma. Upon successful completion of the diploma within the one-year period, Trainee Provincial Inspectors will be employed in a permanent capacity on a 12-month probation as a Provincial Inspector at different Traffic Stations with a starting salary at Level 6 (SALARY: R241,485 per annum).
