The purpose of the job described is to coordinate and direct maintenance and repair services for a specific process within a production line. The role involves control panel management and more complex troubleshooting. Here are the key accountabilities and qualifications for this position:
Key Accountabilities:
- Provides feedback to the supervisor on work progress.
- Participates in risk assessments in compliance with legislation and company requirements to improve safety.
- Maintains good housekeeping practices and follows waste disposal procedures.
- Works independently and understands the business, drives, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Identifies personal training and development needs and incorporates them into a Personal Development Plan (PDP) with group leader’s approval.
- Conducts on-the-job coaching of learners.
- Presents subject matter expert (SME) presentations on specific plant equipment.
- Conducts IMS (Integrated Management System) inspections to maintain and improve plant sustainability.
- Works effectively in a team.
- Plays an appropriate role during emergency situations to get the plant back on line.
- Provides and receives feedback to/from other disciplines on daily issues.
- Gives input at toolbox talks to improve plant safety.
Minimum Experience:
- 2+ years of relevant experience
Formal Education:
- Matric/N3 with Mathematics, English, and Physical Science
- NQF 2 Chieta qualification
Occupational Trade Qualification/Certificate: Required
