MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATION
- PSIRA Grade C registration with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA)Be in possession of a National Senior Certificate
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Be declared physically, and functionally fit for position and environment, as determined by a Physical and Functional Work Capacity (PFWC) assessment from a formal Job Risk Analyses at the relevant Sibanye-Stillwater Occupational Health CentreBe declared medically fit for position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye-Stillwater Occupational Health CentreSuccessfully undergo a screening and verification process, as well as credit and criminal record checksSuccessfully undergo a pre-employment psychological screening assessmentBe able to work in a team and be results orientated and be willing to work shiftsProven South African citizenshipSelf-assured, well-disciplined approach with proven analytical skillsBe in possession of a firearm competency certificate issued by the SAPS as per the new Firearm Control Act, Act 60 of 2000 or the ability to obtain one within reasonable time in the use of handgun, shotgun, self-loading rifle or carbineStrong communication skills with proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing including report writingBe in possession of a valid driver’s license with the ability to drive a vehicleAt least 3 years’ experience in a high-risk security environment
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Report and record all observations, Actions crime and security incidents on the SPS Crime Administration system (CiMMS)Report any suspicious behaviours and any potential problem areas to Supervisor and request back-up when necessaryConduct the appropriate searches as per approved procedures upon access and egress of people and vehiclesControl the entrance of people and vehicles into Sibanye-Stillwater premises in terms of the approved access control proceduresProvide a customer friendly, attentive, and reassuring, professional security presencePart-takes in crowd facilitation when required, providing first line reaction when crime takes placeProtecting the Sibanye-Stillwater employees and visitors on site through the execution of applicable protocols and procedures developed to keep employees safeThe execution of random and dedicated Patrols on foot or vehicle as applicable and required in terms of risk areasEnsure that access to Sibanye-Stillwater premises is granted only to legitimate employees, contractors and visitors through the execution of Access Control Procedures, ensuring the verification of identity and employee status
- Inspect buildings and other infrastructure, ensuring that it is secure, taking the steps reasonably required to address risks so identifiedEnsure that Sibanye-Stillwater resources at the various operations are adequately protected through access control, guarding, observation and patrolling
